Organized Play Accessory Perks & Promotional Boons
The goal of the Accessory Perks program is to encourage players to show their support for Paizo Organized Play by bringing and displaying visible merchandise and accessories to gain in-game benefits..
Categories
Accessories are divided into five categories, as described below. Any qualifying accessory must be either a) produced by Paizo, Inc and sold on its webstore, or b) produced by a licensed partner of Paizo, Inc and visibly promote Paizo, Pathfinder, Starfinder or any associated games or Paizo intellectual property.
Event organizers are permitted and encouraged to expand the definition to include merchandise that directly promotes particular conventions at said events; e.g. permitting a Gen Con t-shirt or pin to count for their respective categories while at Gen Con. Merchandise that exclusively promotes other companies or intellectual properties (e.g. a Roll20 t-shirt with no Paizo branding) never qualifies for these benefits.
Vestments: T-shirts, messenger bags/backpacks, jackets or hoodies, or similar apparel; permanent tattoos of Paizo-related iconography; or cosplay of a Paizo-related character, such as an iconic character, NPC or similar.
Worn Accessory: Lapel pin or button, hat or ballcap, lanyard, or similar small worn accessory.
Rules Reference: Character folio, reference or condition card deck, or similar published item with game reference material. Excludes published rulebooks or Adventures.
Other Item: Any other qualifying item such as officially produced dice, keychains, plush characters, or other merchandise brought to the table.
Campaign Service Coin: an award given out to exemplary volunteers; a Campaign Service Coin cannot qualify for any other category and instead offers its own benefits.
Pathfinder Society (second edition)
In the Pathfinder Society (second edition) program, the following benefits are offered for each accessory category. A player may not benefit from more than one of these per session, with the exception of the Campaign Coin benefit.
Vestments: When you use a Hero Point to reroll a check, add a +1 circumstance bonus to the reroll.
Worn Accessory: Once per session, when rolling a check as a part of a victory points system, if you roll a critical failure, you get a failure instead.
Rules Reference: Once per session, when you use Treat Wounds or another character uses Treat Wounds on you, the result of the check is one degree of success better than the result that was rolled.
Other Item: Once per session, a character can gain the benefits of a two-action heal spell, heightened to the maximum spell level available to a cleric of the character’s level. This benefit can only be used in exploration mode.
Campaign Service Coin: Volunteers who make exceptional contributions to Organized Play can earn campaign coins or membership in the Order of the Wayfinder as a recognition of their hard work. When you use this benefit, you gain a bonus Hero Point at the beginning of the adventure. In addition to the normal powers of a Hero Point, you can spend this special Hero Point to allow another player to reroll a check.
Starfinder Society
In the Starfinder Society program, the following benefits are offered for each accessory category. A player may not benefit from more than one of these per session, with the exception of the Campaign Coin benefit.
Special: When a player uses a free reroll gained from this program, they can present their Paizo Organized Play membership card (available on their My Organized Play page). If they do, they gain a bonus on both their initial result and the reroll equal to +1 for every GM nova they have earned, for a maximum of a +5.
Vestments: Once per session, a player may reroll any of their d20 rolls. You must follow all the reroll rules as listed on page 243 of the Starfinder Core Rulebook when using this reroll.
Worn Accessory: Once per session before rolling a skill check, you can apply a +2 bonus to the roll. If you are not trained in the skill, the bonus increases to +4.
Rules Reference: You can use this boon, once per session, in one of two ways. The first option is to reduce the Resolve Point cost of resting to regain Stamina by 1 (down to 0 RP). The second option is to reduce the DC of any single starship combat check (including a gunnery check) by 4; this decision must be made before making the check.
Other Item: Once per session, as a standard action, you can heal a number of Hit Points depending on your Reputation Tier with All Factions. If your Reputation Tier is 0 or 1, you regain 1d8 Hit Points. If your Reputation Tier is 2 or 3, you instead regain 3d8 Hit Points. If your Reputation Tier is 4, you instead regain 6d8 Hit Points.
Campaign Service Coin: You can reroll a single d20 roll you make during the course of the scenario. You must follow all the reroll rules as listed on page 243 of the Starfinder Core Rulebook when using this reroll.
Alternatively, once per session, by spending ten minutes (including as part of spending a Resolve Point to regain lost Stamina), you can swap out any one boon for another boon that occupies the same boon slot. The boon you replace cannot be one with limited uses that you have already activated this adventure, though you can swap out a boon that you had to cross off your Chronicle sheet during play. You cannot use this ability to replace a slotted boon with a boon that uses up or take place during Downtime. You cannot use this ability if you've already used the reroll option provided by this boon.
This boon's second ability overrides the standard rule that once a boon is slotted it cannot be changed.
Pathfinder Society (first edition)
A player may display any of the products listed on this page and receive the following bonus: once per scenario, after you roll the dice, you can reroll 1d20 die; you must take the new result.
When a player uses a free reroll gained from this program, they can present their Paizo Organized Play membership card (available on their My Organized Play page). If they do, they gain a bonus on both their initial result and the reroll equal to +1 for every GM star they have earned, for a maximum of a +5.
Faction Pins
Once per session, while wearing a Pathfinder Society Roleplaying Guild Faction Pin matching your character's faction, you may add 1 to any skill check. If you apply this benefit to one of your faction's favored skills, listed below, you instead roll 1d4 and add the result. For this roll you also treat the faction's favored skill as if you were trained, even if you don't have a rank in it.
- Dark Archive: Knowledge (arcana), Linguistics, and Use Magic Device
- The Exchange: Appraise, Intimidate, and Knowledge (local)
- Grand Lodge: Diplomacy, Knowledge (history), and Survival
- Liberty's Edge: Escape Artist, Perform, and Disable Device
- Scarab Sages: Knowledge (any)
- Silver Crusade: Heal, Knowledge (religion), and Sense Motive
- Sovereign Court: Bluff, Disguise, and Knowledge (nobility)
