Can animal companions benefit from the air gate aura junction?

I ask because, as minions, they don't have the normal "start of a turn" that other creatures do. My kinetcist cavalier wants to know! XD

I feel like the most reasonable answer is yes. For example, I would not treat animal companions as immune to damaging auras that trigger 'when a creature starts its turn' in the AoE, so I would also not exclude them the ability to gain beneficial auras on the same trigger.

The animal companion wouldn't be able to use the benefit unless the cavalier granted them actions, but it'd still exist.

Wasn't there some errata recently about Minions and their start of turn?

Maybe I am not remembering correctly. It might have just been about their number of actions when interacting with things that cause them to gain or lose actions.

But specific errata or no, I think it is best to run Minions with their 'start of turn' effects happening at either the start of their controller's turn, or at the time that their controller gives them actions for the round. Normally at the start of their controller's turn is safest because that always happens each round.

The errata that breithauptclan is talking about is this:

Yes. This can be a bit unclear because those conditions apply “at the start of your turn” and a minion can’t typically act until you use an action. Apply these conditions and any other effects that alter a minion’s number of actions when the minion gains its actions, using 2 actions and 0 reactions as the minion’s starting number. Though a minion can’t normally act when it’s not your turn, abilities that specifically grant a minion a reaction provide an exception to this (such as the Ferocious Beasts orc ancestry feat, Advanced Players Guide page 19).

It's more focused in minions actions but I think that also gives some hint of how to decide if the minion will benefit from Aura Junction or not.

IMO I don't see a problem that this being able to give extra speed for minions too.
